Reporting Structure

Reporting To: Supervisor Reservations and Ticketing Agent Regional
Supervision Of: Not applicable
Interacts With: Walk in clients and other external clients

Job Description

Receive customers (walk-in clients) and identifies their needs
Make reservations and informs clients of bookings
Record all the necessary personal particulars of clients
Physically calculate applicable fares in accordance with IATA resolutions as well as SW special fares conditions
Issue paper or electronic tickets and receives payments from passengers for tickets issued
Issue invoices (where applicable) and receipts for payment received
Reconcile updates and captures ticket sales into Great Plains (GP Microsoft system)
Receive queries regarding Lost property, follows up and addresses the claims in line with standard procedure
Process refunds (in case of cancellation of tickets) through the Gabriel system

Candidate Specification

Experience: 2 years
Education Level: Diploma Level
Qualifications: Ticketing and reservation or IATA
Software: Gabriel system and or BSP
Equipment: Computer, printer and other office equipment

Knowledge Of: Reservations and Ticketing
Skills To: Source and maintain business
Ability To: Work effectively under pressure
Personality: Honest, flexible, reliable and friendly
Other: Good communication and interpersonal skills
