We’re looking for someone to join our team as a

STATION MANAGER

Millennium Radio Limited is Zambia’s first ever talk and news radio station. It is a development oriented station whose aim is to bring to listeners the most seasoned, energetic and articulate radio broadcasting that Zambia has ever experienced. As we continue to grow, we seek a talented and experienced Station Manager to lead our team to new heights.

This is a senior position reporting to the Managing Director, Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve station objectives, including audience growth, revenue targets, and programming quality.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including programming, sales, marketing, and technical functions
• Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of on-air talent, producers, sales representatives. and administrative staff.
• Manage the station’s budget, monitor financial performance, and make data-driven decisions to ensure profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with advertisers, sponsors, and community partners to drive revenue and support station initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ail regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and audience preferences to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.
• Represent the station at various fora and participate in events, promotions, and outreach activities.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, communications, business, or a related field from recognised institutions.
• 5+ years of experience in radio station management or a related leadership role.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve orgenizational goals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of radio industry dynamics, including programming, sales, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead a diverse team to success.
