Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS), a humanitarian organization invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position:

Duty Station: Lusaka

Reporting to: Secretary General

Job Summary

• The role of the Communications and Public Relations Manager is to manage and support the ZRCS on public relations needs, including being the focal person for media and external relations, as well as leading the implementation of the ZRCS communication strategy. Important aspects ofthe position are image and brand building and maintenance and dissemination of ZRCS mandate, humanitarian values and principles and international humanitarian law.

• Furthermore, he/she will be responsible for maintaining an up to date ZRCS website and social media platforms, as well as support the documentation of ZRCS best practices to be disseminated to partners/stakeholder

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mass communications or any related field; master’s degree will be an added advantage

• Minimal 3 years experience of working in similar position

• Demonmted experience in media relations, as well as developing and executing communication strategies

• Strong written/oral communications, research, proofreading, and leadership skills

• Experience in the humanitarian sector is an added advantage
