Kwacha Pension Trust Fund is a single employer occupational pension scheme. The fund seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual to be a part of a dynamic team to fill the position of Management Accountant.
Management Accountant
Responsibilities
  • To prepare timely management reports in order to provide timely management information to aid decision making and ensure that all management reporting requirements are met; and to be responsible for the preparation of budgets and budget control, capital expenditure monitoring, fixed asset management and stock control
  • Preparation of management reports including variance reports for management control
  • Coordinating the preparation and consolidation of the fund budgets
  • Ensuring that an appropriate and reliable accounting system is at all times operated by the fund
  • Monitoring spending and effectiveness of the financial controls
  • Ensuring that all units comply with year end cut off procedures
  • Maintaining reconciliation files for the general ledger
  • Maintaining an updated and accurate fixed asset register for the efficient running of management accounting records
  • Enforcing risk incident reporting on the approved format
  • Updating of the Risk register as fund operations unfolds

Qualifications
  • ZICA, ACCA, CIMA and a Bachelor of Accountancy
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in Management Accounting and knowledge of Risk Management preferably in a financial institution
  • Below the age of 35 years
