Key Responsibilities

  • This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
  • Carry out geotechnical mapping (Open Pit and underground) and geotechnical logging as required.
  • Perform pit inspections and identification of possible instabilities.
  • To identify any movement of the Slope stability Radar in and out of the pit during blast times.
  • To operate the Ground Penetrating Radar and perform scans in Boulder-rich and cavity areas.
  • Perform geotechnical audits in the pits, underground and waste dumps to ensure compliance to design.
  • Conduct Material strength test work to be carried out in the on-site laboratory that is planned to be established
  • Show a basic understanding of rock types and the general geotechnical properties to be able to communicate any changes to supervisors.
  • Data collection for the ongoing updating of the Ground Control Management Plan and Geotechnical Model.
  • Ensure work is of a high standard by daily cross checking and understanding of the datasets being used.
  • Ensure all daily shift reports are completed in a timely fashion to the standard expected by the department.

Requirement;

  • A full Grade 12 School Certificate with mathematics and English at level of credit or higher
  • A Diploma or a higher qualification in Geotechnical/ Rock Mechanics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years  experience in general Geotechnical Management.
  • In Possession of a valid drivers license

Key Responsibilities;

  • Establish benchmark and control points.
  • Plan preparation and compilation to ensure Quality control.
  • Month end pickups and stockpile surveys
  • GPS and conventional station establishment
  • Translates Mining terminologies and basic theories
  • Undertakes demarcation mark-outs and design implementation
  • Uploading and downloading of survey data
  • Conducts Pit survey duties and procedures.
  • Carry out regular Stockpile surveys.
  • Lazer scanner operation
  • Plan reading and Use of clinometer
  • Other duties as directed by the Supervisor

Requirement;

  • Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Certificate or Diploma in survey
  • Driver’s license
  • Minimum of 3 years Surveying experience
  • Experience with GPS Controller, levelling staff, tape measure, prism rod and Radios will be an added advantage.

Purpose

  • Develops and implements campaigns designed to achieve the growth and revenue goals of the organization
  • Enhances and communicates Syngenta /Product value proposition through unique marketing strategies

Accountabilities

  • Design detailed campaigns including high level content defined together with asset marketing and sales
  • Liaison with marketing services and external agencies in relation to content generation and execution
  • Translate offers to customer (channel or grower) needs and detail including delivery plan, pricing and commercial policies
  • Sequence roll out in logical way to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure campaigns are executed in line with marketing budget and plan set by the campaign team
  • Leverage campaign dependencies at grower level between CP/SE
  • Working with Sales conduct post campaign in-field measurement of campaign effectiveness, including Integrated Solutions KPIs
  • Support the integration of the CP and SE marketing teams, including the definition of new processes/ways of working and fostering mindset change

Qualifications

Experience required

    • Strong Marketing experience, preferably in a challenging, cross cultural environment; and with a network of agencies and contacts

(external and internal)

    • Preferably experience in the agribusiness

industry, sales experience also favorable

  • Proven exp

Critical knowledge

  • Tertiary qualifications preferable
  • Understanding of marketing principles and commercial management processes
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Advanced English (written and spoken)
