Job Details
  • Oversee daily operation of plant
  • Ensure that production stays on schedule and within budget
  • Monitor factory workers to ensure that they meet performance and safety requirements
  • Create ways to make the production process more efficient
  • Carry out quality control programs to ensure that the finished product meets specific level of quality
  • Analyse production data
  • Write production reports
  • Ensure on how best to manage Workers and equipment to meet production goals
  • Ensure that machinery is operating optimally
  • Ensure that Workers receive adequate on going training to enhance skills and facilitate trouble shooting
Candidate Requirements
  • University degree in Metallurgy / related Science
  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to effectively handle a high volume of work with minimum supervision within specific time frames
  • Quality focused and detail oriented individual
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with Managers from other departments and with Senior Level Management
  • Leadership skills – ability to motivate & direct workers
  • Problem solving skills – ability to identify problems and solve them timeously
  • Time management skills – ability to meet deadlines, manage Workers and oneself

Job Details

Site Foremen provide leadership and take responsibility for supervising teams, ensuring the safety of crew members, implementation of OHSA guidelines, planning and scheduling of work, employee relations, and productivity of crew members as well as ensuring quality control.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have over 5 years’ experience from a recognized and reputable construction company serving in a related field;
  • A civil engineering qualification is an added advantage;
  • Ability to train and develop subordinates;
  • Ability to plan, control, execute and report on works, a must;
  • Ability to work under no supervision;
  • Loyalty and high level of confidentiality;
  • Excellent traceable interpersonal skills;
  • Locals (Swazis) preferred candidates.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of OHSAS;
  • Strong and traceable leadership skills;
  • Ability to plan and schedule works;
